Winnifred Mae “Winnie” Shreve, 88, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 12:55 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born on March 8, 1932, a daughter of the late Jacob H. and Frances E. (Johnson) Sarver.
On May 10, 1952, Winnifred married Richard Lee Shreve in Union County, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1993. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Connie E. Shreve; six sisters; and two brothers.
Winnifred is survived by her five children, Kenneth (Marge) Feasel, David Shreve, Monna Williams, Debra (Roger) Evans, and Sheila (Don) Ludwig; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Thomas; a brother, Jacob (Sue) Sarver; and many nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Winnie loved spending time with her family. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Green Hills for the exceptional care they provided to Winnie.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
