Wilma Faye Neal, 91 of Bellefontaine passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at 1:05 a.m. at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Wilma was born Dec. 9, 1929 in Wapakoneta, to the late Raymond and LaVera (Kohlhorst) Coats. She later married the love of her life in 1950, Donald E. “Gene” Neal, who pass away on Nov. 30, 1995.
Wilma was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine where she had many friends. Wilma owned and operated Wilma’s Beauty Shop in Lakeview for many years before joining her husband in opening South Dixie Trailer Sales in Lima.
She found great pleasure in visiting with her family. Wilma also enjoyed and looked forward to meeting her group of friends for their dinner night out, followed by playing cards at each other’s homes.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Scott Pugh and Maria (Mark) Michalak; great grandchildren, Danny Pugh, Avery and Ryan Michalak son-in-law, Douglas S. “Doug” Pugh; brother, Gordon (Darene) Coates; numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Marie Pugh; her parents; sisters, Violet (Paul) Hardin, Ruth (Harold) Lee and Gatha Ward; brother, Glenn (Jesse) Coates.
A private family graveside service will take place at a later date with burial in the Huntsville Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
