William L. “Bill” Blair, 73 of Belle Center passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born March 6, 1948, in Bellefontaine to the late Waldo Anderson and Clara Mae (Moore) Blair. On June 25, 1971, in Belle Center, he married the love of his life Beverly Ann Johnson, who survives.
Bill graduated from West Liberty Salem High School, class of 1966. After graduating Bill was drafted into the United States Army serving honorably in Vietnam from December 1969 – November 1970.
After his time in the service Bill worked a few various jobs. Working at Westinghouse, Norman Johnson Implement, Belle Center Air Tool and retiring from International Paper. Even though he retired Bill never stopped working. He was always busy helping family and friends with any task at hand. He was a member of the Belle Center United Methodist Church for 40 plus years, the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and the Willard Stout Legion Post 266-Belle Center.
Bill enjoyed wood working, going to grandchildren’s activities and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with family and friends. Bill was the kind of guy that would help anyone in need any way he could, he never knew a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by not only his family, but by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, a week to the day short of their 50th anniversary, Bev Blair; children, Brenda (Eric) Krebehenne and Brandon (Jenni) Blair; grandchildren, Joel, Aaron and Tyler Krebehenne, Kaylee and Brianna Blair; sister-in-law’s, Lola Blair and Joy (James) Miller, aunt and uncle Florence and Don Tudor; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Blair; great nephew, David Blair.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be Monday, June 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and again Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery-Belle Center following the service.
