William “Bill” S. Hurley, 79, of Huntsville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Logan Acres Care Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Logan County, Ohio on March 16, 1944, to the late Glen and Milly (Smith) Hurley.
In 1995, Bill married Dianna L. Harrington and she preceded him in death on June 8, 2018. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hurley; brothers-in-law: Bill Bell and Jim Dickerson.
Bill is survived by his children: Bill Hurley, Tamara (Stu) Jenkins, Brian Hurley, and J. Sterling (Louie) Hurley; stepson, Robert Harrington; former step-children: Melanie Godwin, Kathleen (Jim) Whitehead, Jeffrey (Joyce) Shough, and Ryan (Alisa) Shough; siblings: Shirley Bell, Betty Dickerson, Darel (Connie) Hurley, Barb (Greg) Luzader, Russel (LeaDel) Hurley, Millicent (David) Bray; sister-in-law, Kelly Hurley; and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Huntsville High School, and being a part of the last graduating class, Bill went on to work many jobs throughout his career. A jack of all trades, Bill also enjoyed fishing, bowling, and gardening. He loved to help people any way he could.
Pastor Stu Jenkins will officiate a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will also be Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
