Bryanne C. Revels, 30, of 305 E. Columbus Ave. was issued a summons for obstructing justice Tuesday after she told officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department her husband was not inside their residence.
Officers were at the residence around 2:55 p.m. and she denied them entry and claimed the suspect was not there after they observed Steven Revels on the front porch smoking a cigarette and then walking inside.
She claimed her husband was in Canada. When she was detained, she began yelling, “Run, run for it,” before officers could search the residence.
Inside, they found the couple’s two children, ages 5 and 6. They told officers their dad fled out the back door.
