The West Mansfield Annual Turkey Festival is slated for Saturday, Nov. 20, at the West Mansfield Conservation Club, 700 S. Main St., West Mansfield.
Food will be served starting at 5 p.m. The menu consists of ham or turkey sandwiches, chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes/gravy, baked beans, green beans, dessert and drinks.
Starting at 7 p.m., 100 turkeys will be raffled off. Participants can win a turkey dressed and ready to cook for Thanksgiving dinner.
Other raffles include: cash, gift cards, Christmas decor, and other items too numerous to mention.
The event will conclude with a door prize of a 25-pound turkey.
Support for this event will enable the West Mansfield Lions Club to continue the group’s work with eye health for local community members, including the purchase of eye glasses for those in need.
The club also assists the community with other events and projects, such as local baseball and other athletes and assisting individuals needing help at Christmas time.
For the past several years, the Lions have taken over the care of the flower planters at the square, as well as supporting Lions projects, including the seeing eye (guide) dogs.
