West Liberty-Salem’s boys golf team continued to roll in Ohio Heritage Conference play Thursday as it handled host Triad 160-185 at Woodland Golf Club.
The Tigers keep their league record perfect at 6-0.
“Our four players who scored all had better than average putting totals, which is an important stat for us away from our home course,” said WL-Salem head coach Darrin Leichty. “Kannon Stillings’ three birdies helped him shoot his best score of the year.”
Stillings fired a low round of 35 for medalist honors.
Also for the Tigers, Dillon Callicoat carded a 38, Max Eggleston shot a 39, Logan Brown had a 48, Tyler Gardner posted a 49 and Michael Frederick added a 51.
For Triad, Caleb Young led with a 42, Braxton Perry shot a 46, Alec Ober carded a 48 and Creighton Bradley recorded a 49.
WL-Salem also won the junior varsity match on a fifth-score tiebreaker.
Jake Woodruff paced the Tigers with a 50, Patrick Harr had a 54, Michael Price shot a 55, Tate Derr carded a 59, Jarrett Eckurd posted a 60 and Kenny Harr and Tucker Ridenbaugh rounded out the group with 62s.

Warriors hold off Raiders
Northwestern’s boys golf team battled past visiting Benjamin Logan for a key Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division victory Thursday 187-196 at Reid Park in Springfield.
“This was our worse showing in a nine-hole match this year,” said BL head coach Chris Conley. “Scores were high overall for both teams but we were very disappointed in our showing. Time and again we made poor chips, and then didn’t recover.
“We practiced those same shots for hours the night prior, but it appeared to have little effect. We’ll regroup with a Monday practice and then return to the same course to take on CBC favorite Greenon in a match on Tuesday.”
Will Kenoyer fired the low for the Raiders with a 42 for medalist honors. Mitchell Fink had a 49, Drew Wasson carded a 52, Alex Naragon and Garrett Allen each had a 53 and Collin Stewart posted a 56.
For the reserves, Bryce Loomis led the way with a 54, Kaiden Weaks had a 56 and Gavin Clay shot a 59.
Ben Logan travels to Graham on Tuesday.
