West Liberty-Salem’s boys soccer team rode a first-half lead to down host Benjamin Logan 3-1 on Saturday during a non-league local matchup.
The Tigers improve their record to 9-2, while the Raiders slide to 5-5-1.
WL-Salem scored off of two corner kicks in the first half to take a 2-0 lead at the break. The Tigers scored 18 seconds into the second half for a 3-1 advantage.
“Coach Tim Wolfe has got a really nice squad this year,” said BL head coach Jamie Hughes. “He has a lot of speed, great skill and they are well-coached. His kids just play the game and show good sportsmanship. It was a good game, but they converted on a couple of free kicks that we didn’t get to first.”
