Sydney Wesson set a new school record for the second straight day as Benjamin Logan’s girls golf team cruised to a 160-262 win over Northwestern on Tuesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
Wesson, who set a new BL record for 18 holes with a 72 on Monday, broke the nine-hole school mark with a three-under par 32 on Tuesday.
In addition to the 32 from Wesson, the Raiders received a 42 from Olivia Hahn, 43s from Leeah Valentine and Taylor Lafferty, 50 from Kensley Lacher, 51 from Katherine Hahn and 56 from Charlotte Graham.
Chiefs bounce Braves
Kayla Watkins fired a 36 to lead Bellefontaine’s girls golf team to a 171-223 win over Springfield Shawnee on Tuesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
Also for the Chiefs, Lexi Buffkin shot 44, Kyndal Newkirk had 45, Morgan Burden shot 46, Emily Taylor had 48 and Kate Myers shot 56.
Lady Pirates top Bethel
Riverside’s girls golf team edged Bethel 210-215 at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.
Riverside’s Roz Estep was the co-medalist with Kerrigan Calhoun with a 48.
Mia Stallard shot 50 and Malaina Jenkins had a 52 for the Pirates.
Ross shines, but Lakers fall to Graham
Regan Ross tied a school record with a 36, but Indian Lake’s girls golf team was defeated by Graham 203-217 on Tuesday at Lakeland Golf Course.
Ross was the medalist for the match with her 36.
Also for the Lakers, Bree Stid carded 55, Kayla Cummins had 59 and Lauren Barhorst had 67.
