Two men taken into custody today on warrants.
Joseph D. Robinson, 20, of 251 N. Main St., was lodged today on two warrants for failure to appear and charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia after officers found a pipe for smoking marijuana in his pants pocket today.
Dylan R. Kossel, 24, of 122 N. Park St., was arrested on warrants for assault and disorderly conduct.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department on patrol observed the men walking with John Messer of Bellefontaine on William Avenue west of Detroit Street around 1:30 a.m.
He pulled up to the men and recognized Robinson as a suspect entering vehicles from a previous incident.
The officer stopped the men and asked where they were headed. The trio claimed they were headed to a west side bar after it was closed for the day.
Robinson’s front sweatshirt pockets were full of change and he had a pair of white gloves sticking out of a pocket. He denied entering vehicles and said the change was his.
Another officer joined the stop and a warrant check revealed Robinson and Kossel were named on active warrants.
Several handfuls of change were taken from Robinson along with the pipe, a pocket knife, flashlight and cellular phone.
Both men were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Stormi D. Kiser, 33, at large, was served Tuesday with a warrant for failure to appear.
