Wanda Mae Patton, 100, of West Liberty and formerly of Belle Center, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, in the Green Hills Inn.
She was born in Belle Center on Nov. 7, 1917, the daughter of the late Chester Ira and Ella Fisher Stephenson.
On Aug.9, 1936, in Belle Center, she married James Richard Patton and he preceded her in death May 27, 2007. She is also preceded in death by two granddaughters.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Shroyer of Largo, Fla.; and three sons, Don (Judy) Patton of Belle Center, Joe (Birt) Patton of Naples, Fla., and Stephen (Connie) Patton of Pleasant Hill; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Wanda was a homemaker and an avid reader who read numerous books each week. She was very active in church activities while at Green Hills. She enjoyed wintering in Naples, Fla., for 25 years.
Her son, Pastor Don Patton officiates a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, in Foundation Hall at Green Hills Community, 6557 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, at a later date.
