Walter Noel Holloway, 68, of Russells Point, passed away Tuesday evening, March 30, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
Noel was born on April 11, 1952 in Bellefontaine, a son of the late Charles Edward and Florence Ava Barlup Holloway. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Holloway.
On Sept. 21, 1986, Noel married Cynthia Marie Dotson in Wapakoneta, and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Donald (Sebby) Holloway, two stepsons, Joe (Andrea) Schmiedebusch and Fred Schmiedebusch, seven grandchildren, Derek, Freddie, Summer, Tommy, Amelia, Cora, and Cole, one sister, Bonnie (Ace) Ambos, and a sister-in-law, Maria Holloway.
Noel was a 1971 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He retired from Duff’s Stone Quarry after 25 years. He enjoyed watching auto racing, especially NASCAR.
A gathering of remembrance will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Due to state Covid-19 pandemic guidelines, attendees are asked to be symptom free, maintain social distancing and wear a facial covering.
