A wagon train that has been encamped at a Jefferson Township ranch for the past week made its way on Logan County roads Friday drawing the attention of curious passersby.
The four covered wagons and half dozen outriders, who directed traffic around the slow-moving procession, were part of the Central Ohio Wagoneers group that is based out of the Lima area.
The group was staying on the farm of local equestrians John and Kathy Horton and made leisurely trips around the Zanesfield area over the past week, club president Jeff Wies said during a lunch break at Wenger’s Produce.
“Every year we have a weeklong outing and this year the Hortons were gracious enough to host us for the week,” he said. “They’ve hosted several weekenders here in the past.”
