Voncella Delores Clark, 86, of Bellefontaine, went home to be with the Lord at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at the Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital — Solove, surrounded by her children.
Voncella was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Urbana, the daughter of the late Edward and Minnie Turner Rogan. She was raised in St. Paris and was a graduate of Concord Local School. She was happily married to Richard E. Clark for 55 years and four children were born to this union.
Voncella was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Lima. She was a past president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Western Union District Association. She served on the Logan County board that was responsible for bringing the first dialysis machine to Bellefontaine.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Clark; son, Randy Clark; and a brother, Eugene Rogan.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Twyla Clark; sons, Elwin Clark and Eddie Clark; granddaughter, Téa Clark; greatgrandson, Nolan Smith; sisters-in-law, Betty Rogan and Theresa Clark; brothers-in-law, Lester (Gloria Dean) Clark, Neal Clark and Roscelle Clark; many, many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of special friends and extended family.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Auburn Avenue Baptist Church, 216 E. Auburn Ave., Bellefontaine. A funeral service begins at 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Second Baptist Church, 520 W. Spring St., Lima. A public graveside service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
