Vivian Leigh Reese, 76, of Jackson Center, passed away peacefully Friday morning Oct. 2, 2018 at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Quentin and Lisa Reese, 310 West St., Jackson Center. She was born in Pike County, Ky., on July 17, 1942, to the late Grover and Geneva Robinson Butler.
Vivian married Q.V. Reese on May 28, 1960, in Kentucky, and he preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two brothers; Vic Butler and Grover “Bud” Butler.
She is survived by a daughter, Donita (Ruben) Reese-Aceves; a son, Quentin (Lisa) Reese; grandchildren, Delorean, Haley (Bob Wogaman), Parker, Madison (Dan Aikin), Cassy, Avalon, Chloe, Taylor and Rylie; a great-grandson, Elliott; and a loyal dog, Buddy. Vivian graduated from Hellier High School in Hellier, Ky. She moved to Ohio with her husband in 1966. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, then joined the workforce and was head over the shipping department at Holloway Sportswear in Jackson Center for many years. Vivian enjoyed traveling, the Cincinnati Reds, college basketball and all Hallmark movies.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Eichholtz Daring and Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike St., Jackson Center. A graveside service follows at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders.
