Ronald R. Scott III, 32, of 11157 County Road 102, Belle Center, was charged with assault on a peace officer, criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Around 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to Linaya B. Rogan’s 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. E11, residence. She told them Scott would not leave upon her request.
When asked by officers why he would not leave, Scott reportedly said he didn’t want to.
Rogan said the suspect was extremely intoxicated and rude to her. His mother, Shelley Scott, also was present and confirmed the suspect was drunk.
Officers gave Scott multiple opportunities to leave with his mother. He refused.
As officers moved to arrest him for trespassing, he resisted and began spitting at them. He was taken to the floor and handcuffed before a spit mask was put over his face.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail and lodged.
The suspect sustained a rug burn to his forehead in the struggle, while an officer sustained minor cuts to his left hand.
