$930,000 raised and still counting
The United Way of Logan County announced today that for the second consecutive year, local donors have given in record-setting fashion to the campaign although the annual campaign is not yet finished.
The local non-profit reports that $930,045 has been pledged to date, with more expected before the end of the year, surpassing the $850,000 goal. The number is 9 percent more than the goal and a 12 percent increase over last year, when $830,199, then the all-time organizational record, was raised.
“I think my take away from the campaign is not only how generous and caring our community is for those in need, but overall how passionate they are for the United Way,” said Rick Hatcher, who with his wife, Jill, co-chaired the fall campaign.
“The best part was getting out and meeting all those who make the campaign a success year in and year out.”
