MARYSVILLE — Deputies of the Union County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their search for suspects involved in a late-night burglary Tuesday evening at a residence in the 17000 block of Raymond Road.
Deputies received a report of a burglary in progress about 11:55 p.m. The resident reportedly came home and found two suspects in a silver Chevrolet Cavalier near his home.
The suspects fled the scene and the homeowner followed the suspects as they drove onto the CSX railroad tracks. The suspects became stuck along the railroad tracks and fled the vehicle on foot.
Troopers and a helicopter from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with officers from the Marysville Division of Police were called in to assist with the search for the suspects.
Deputies recovered several guns along the railroad tracks that were allegedly stolen during the burglary. The suspect vehicle was impounded and the sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation.
