Two people were arrested Monday after one left Walmart, 2281 S. Main St., with bags full of merchandise with a total valued in excess of $1,000.
Aaron T. Jacks, 34, of Springfield, faces felony charges of theft and taking the identity of another, while Cynthia L. Hard, 28, of Springfield, was charged with criminal trespass.
Jacks also was served a Clark County warrant for possession of drugs.
Jacks had fled the store around 5 a.m. but was found in a car parked at a nearby restaurant. He gave officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department a wrong name and later admitted lying about his identity.
Hard was stopped inside the store with another woman. They came with Jacks, but separated from him once inside. Hard had been notified not to be on Walmart properties.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
- Ryan C. Drury, 34, at large, was charged Monday with criminal trespass. He was found around 11 p.m. at Speedway, 329 S. Main St., a business from which he has been banned.
