Host Triad tuned up for the start of tournament play with a 6-4 victory over Benjamin Logan in a non-league baseball game Friday afternoon.
Triad is now 19-7 and the Raiders fall to 13-11.
Triad opened the scoring with four runs in the bottom of the second inning for a 4-0 lead.
Ben Logan responded with two runs in the top of the third to make the score 4-2.
The Cardinals added a run in the bottom of the third for a 5-2 lead before the Raiders scored once in the fourth to trail 5-3.
Triad tacked on an insurance run in the sixth to up its lead to 6-3. The Raiders plated a run in the top of the seventh, but they could get no closer.
The Cardinals made the most of their six hits. Dalton Holycross had two RBI, Isaiah Bruce had two RBI and Trent McIntyre had a double for Triad.
