Triad’s softball team pulled out a 5-4 win over visiting Troy on Wednesday during a non-league contest. The game was called after five innings because of lightning.
The win improves the Cardinals to 3-4 on the season.
Troy took control early with three runs in the first inning. After a scoreless second inning, Triad tied the game with three runs in the third inning.
