Alexander Schinker, 20, of Sidney, was issued summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop about
10:35 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office initiated the traffic stop for speed at County Road 43 near County Road 31. During their contact with the driver, deputies observed a small amount of marijuana and a pipe for smoking marijuana.
Mr. Schinker also was cited for speed.
Driver strikes school’s pole barn after medical issue
Deputies and Indian Lake EMS responded about 7:45 a.m. Thursday to the Indian Lake Schools campus on a report of a driver who had struck a pole barn.
Deputies report Andrea J. Jacobs, 47, of Huntsville, was driving a southbound sport utility vehicle on the school’s access road when she suffered a medical issue and drove off the road and struck the pole barn, causing light damage to her SUV and the building.
She was checked at the scene by squad members, and was not transported. The driver was wearing her seat belt, and no citations were issued.
• Rebecca L. Bibart, 70, of Zanesfield, was cited for a failure to yield from a stop sign following a non-injury crash about 12:10 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies report she was operating an eastbound car on County Road 5 when she stopped at the stop sign at County Road 1. She drove from the intersection and struck a northbound car operated by Esther Lamb, 59, of Cable.
The drivers were wearing their seat belts, and damage was heavy to the vehicles.
• Pacer Cooley, 25, of Lewistown, was cited for improper passing after a non-injury crash about 6:15 p.m. Thursday on State Route 235.
He reportedly was operating a southbound SUV near County Road 52 when he attempted to pass a southbound SUV operated by Casaundra M. Price, 35, of Lewistown. At the same time, Ms. Price was attempting to make a left turn in a driveway at 8330 S.R. 235, and her vehicle was sideswiped by Mr. Cooley’s vehicle.
Damage was heavy to the Price vehicle and moderate to the Cooley vehicle. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
