The Tigers’ Levi Moell was named second-team all-Ohio, Tevon McNutt earned third-team all-Ohio, while Braden Miller and Trevor Burden were both named honorable mention all-Ohio. This was the second year in a row Burden has received the honor.
There were no local selections in Division VII.
“It certainly was a pleasant surprise to see this many guys getting postseason honors,” said WL-Salem head coach Dan McGill. “I think that they would be the first to tell you that while they worked very hard throughout their careers, it takes a whole lot of teammates working hard to make any of us succeed.
“As a coach, it is always rewarding to see the young men who you’ve tried to develop for four years receive some individual awards, in addition to experiencing team success. I couldn’t be more happy for them. All four of these young men played their best football this year, and that’s really all you can ask for as a coach. With that being said, as good of players as they were, they are even better young men.”
