Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department investigated vehicle crashes Monday and Tuesday, issuing traffic citations in each.
Anthony R. Flowers, 33, of Bellefontaine, was cited Monday for failure to control. He was reportedly southbound on north Main Street and struck a parked van in the 400 block.
Damage was heavy to the car and the van registered to Daniel S. Hopper of Bellefontaine.
• Poppy A. Dickinson, 43, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to yield after she drove a car into the path of a Benjamin Logan Local School District bus around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
She was northbound on Canby Street and attempted to drive in front of a stopped tractor-trailer onto westbound Sandusky Avenue. Her car was hit by the eastbound bus operated by Jennifer J. Noble, 50, of Rushsylvania.
Damage was moderate to the car and light to the bus. There were no reported injuries.
• Andrew D. McCall, 18, of Urbana, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash around 3:05 p.m. Tuesday.
He was southbound on Main Street and the pickup truck he was driving hit a pickup operated by Robert W. Rollins Jr., 17, of Urbana, who was stopped at Columbus Avenue.
Damage was moderate.
• Georgia M. Long, 20, of Sidney, was cited Monday for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
She was southbound around 3:35 p.m. in the 300 block north Main Street and her car hit the rear of a car operated by Stephan M. Gordon, 38, of Bellefontaine.
Damage was light.
Man reports theft
Collin Downing, 113 1/2 N. Park St., reported Tuesday that he returned home around 10:20 p.m. and discovered a video game system was stolen from his residence.
Object shatters car window
Officers are investigating a criminal damaging complaint in which a rear car window was shattered around 8:10 p.m. Monday.
Kathy Dickinson of Bellefontaine said she was at 410 N. Madriver St. to pick up her son. She believes an object was thrown from an upstairs window of neighboring apartment which caused the damage.
