Sean S. Wyne, 31, of 700 Township Road 179, Apt. 8D, was charged Sunday with domestic violence.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to the residence around 1:45 a.m. and found the apartment dark and no one answering the front door. However, an officer observed a bedroom window open and a nine-year-old girl told them to come in as the front door was unlocked.
Upon opening the door, officers announced their presence and Witney Miller walked into the living room. She was crying and visibly injured, officers report.
She reportedly mouthed, “Help me,” but would not audibly tell officers what happened. She nodded yes when asked if she feared retaliation from her attacker.
There was evidence of a struggle, officers report.
Officers escorted her to a cruiser and observed she had facial injuries, bruising under her right arm and minor lacerations on her left shin and left wrist.
Officers returned to the apartment and found Miller’s daughter in a bedroom and the suspect sitting atop a washer/dryer set in the bathroom. He was arrested and removed from the apartment.
