Emily S. Oakley, 23, of 211 E. Buckeye St., Belle Center; Evelyne K. Borba, 23, of 812 Heritage Court, Apt. 15; and Nathan M. Frazier, 22, of 6836 County Road 101, Belle Center, each was charged Monday with disorderly conduct after a Saturday incident.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to Borba’s residence around 10:45 p.m. and found her and Frazier highly intoxicated.
Oakley had been at the residence so Borba could dress her hair but it was taking a long time. An argument ensued and Oakley allegedly attacked Borba and Frazier, leaving scratch marks on the victims’ necks.
Oakley left the residence and met with officers on Sunday. She told police she only fought to get away from the other two. Officers observed visible scratches on her neck, a bruise on her forehead and a bald spot on the right side of her head where her hair was pulled out.
• Thomas L. Whalen IV, 18, of 2463 County Road 13, was charged Saturday with underage consumption of alcohol.
Officers were called to 827 W. Sandusky Ave. on a disturbance and found Whalen standing nearby. During conversations, they detected an odor of alcohol coming from him.
He was charged and lodged in jail after failed attempts to locate a sober relative to take him home.
• Jose L. Argueta-Mejia, 44, of 1044 N. Main St., was arrested Monday for using weapons while intoxicated and discharging a firearm.
Officers were told the suspect fired a round from pistol into the ground outside the residence. The suspect was found around 10:45 p.m. inside asleep on his bed with the pistol on pillow beside him.
He was taken into custody without incident. Officers reported heappeared to be intoxicated.
The gun had a round in the chamber and five more in the magazine.
• William L. Johnson, 49, of 410 N. Detroit St., was charged Monday with public intoxication. He was found on foot in near his residence but officers could not locate a sober person to take custody of him.
He was lodged in jail.
• Greggory A. Ford, 36, of 812 Garfield Ave., was charged Monday with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was found around 4:50 a.m. in the parking lot of Waffle House, 1133 N. Main St., slumped over the wheel of a parked car.
He had been there to pickup a female relative but fell asleep in the car before she left work and continued home without him.
A warm, 1/4-full, open bottle of beer was found in the car and he did not exhibit any signs of intoxication.
