Thomas N. Draime, 77, of West Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at his residence following many months of failing health.
A devoted husband and father, Tom was a racing fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, and visiting the local tracks Shady Bowl, the La Rue Drag Strip and many others. He also enjoyed going fishing.
A 1962 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, he worked in maintenance at Whirlpool Corporation in Marion for 38 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the West Mansfield United Methodist Church.
Born September 15, 1944 in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of the late Vern and Hazel (Newman) Draime.
On July 1, 1967 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Kenton, he married his wife of over 54 years, Betty (Lansdown) Draime, and she survives in West Mansfield. He is also survived by a son, Tom “TJ” Draime of New Paris.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel, 222 W. Center St., West Mansfield. Rev. John Rozewicz will officiate and burial will follow at the Hathaway Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 1, at the funeral home. Casual dress is encouraged for the calling hours and service.
