A Bellefontaine teen reported missing a week ago has been found and returned home.
Bellefontaine Police Chief Brandon Standley reports his department continues to investigate the circumstances of Zoey Allison-Nicole Daugherty’s week-long absence.
The 14-year-old girl failed to return to her 230 Shady Lane home after meeting with a friend at Wendy’s Restaurant, 700 S. Main St. Police report she voluntarily left the city.
Investigators report she called her mother this morning, gave her a location in Springfield and was picked up. Zoey and her mother met with detectives after returning to Bellefontaine today.

Police continue to search for teen
Officers continue to look for Zoey Allison-Nicole Daugherty, 14, of 230 Shady Lane.
She was reported missing Friday after she did not return home from meeting with a friend at Wendy’s Restaurant, 700 S. Main St.
Her mother, April, told officers Zoey was supposed to return by 9 p.m. but had not as of 11:20 p.m. when officers were called.
Zoey is believed to be with her Champaign County boyfriend.
She was wearing a black and white striped T-shirt and blue jeans, carrying a black and white striped backpack with a gray hooded sweatshirt. She is five feet, four inches tall; weighs 170 pounds; and has brown hair and brown eyes.
