Benjamin Logan Middle School students in Nancy Forsythe’s seventh-grade science class have been studying streams and water runoff. After taking a virtual raft trip down local streams to the Gulf of Mexico, students used a stream table provided by the Logan County Soil and Water District to simulate oxbow lakes, stream path, load, gradient and flow. Students have learned how water is filtered both naturally and artificially. Pupils are also working on designing and testing their own water filters. (BENJAMIN LOGAN SCHOOLS PHOTO)
