Minter named as replacement
Quest Federal Credit Union is announcing the retirement of David Sturgeon from the Credit Committee.
Sturgeon was elected to serve on the committee by the members of the credit union following his retirement from Kenton City Schools after a 37-year career, concluding his service to the school district as the superintendent.
“Quest Board of Directors would like to thank Dave for his 24 years of service to our credit union and its members. Dave has volunteered many hours to improve the quality of life for our members who were seeking financial support,” stated Sarah Wirbel, Quest Board of Directors president.
During Sturgeon’s tenure of service to the credit union, the loan portfolio grew from $24 million to over $100 million and he played a large role in helping make that happen, Quest representatives said.
“We thank him for his service and wish him all the best in the next chapter. David has also been a very active member of the Kenton Lions Club, the Sheriff’s VIP program, the United Way of Hardin County and many other area organizations.”
Paul Minter of Dunkirk will be replacing Sturgeon on the Credit Committee, as well as serving as a member of the Agriculture and Business Credit Committee.
“Paul has served as an Intern of the board for the last five years, where he has absorbed a tremendous amount of information and knowledge about how our lending cycle works and how it can positively impact our membership,” stated Matt Jenning, Quest CEO.”We look forward to working with Paul as we move into the future and although he has big shoes to fill, we are confident that Paul is trained and ready for the task.”
Minter is married with three children, has worked at Triumph Thermal Systems for the last 22 years, serving as a Union Steward for the last 20 years. He is engaged in his community, serving as a youth coach for several sports, is an active member of the Walnut Grove Church and is the operator of his family farm.
