Riverside Local Schools is among the most prolific districts in the state when it comes to educating special needs students, according to standardized testing results shared Tuesday in a regular school board meeting.
Kindergarten through high school, Riverside met 25 of 26 special education indicators as measured by the Ohio Department of Education.
The special education indicators are intended to measure how effectively public schools accommodate developmentally disabled students, and whether or not special ed programming integrates special needs students into the traditional classroom setting.
