Ridgemont’s girls basketball team was overwhelmed by Cardington 94-37 in a non-league girls basketball game Wednesday night.
The Gophers drop to 6-11 on the season. The Pirates are ranked sixth in the Division III state poll.
Ridgemont found itself down 30-7 after one period and the Gophers trailed 48-14 at halftime.
Cardington pushed its lead to 46 points (74-28) after three periods and the Pirates continued to add to their lead in the final period.
Callie Cromer tallied 15 points, three steals and two assists to provide a highlight for the Gophers. Jen Jordan added 12 points, two assists, two steals and two blocks.
