The nationwide Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive returns to the area Saturday, where local residents are invited to place non-perishable food products in a bag and leave them where the letter carrier delivers their mail at their residence.
This 26th annual food drive by the Letter Carriers Food Drive benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties.
Suggested items for donation include boxed macaroni and cheese or other boxed pasta products, peanut butter, canned fruits and canned meats.
The Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties, a program of Catholic Charities of Southwestern Ohio and member of Feeding America, serves the tri-county community by sourcing, collecting, storing and distributing more than six million pounds of food to 65 non-profit member agencies who feed the hungry directly.
