An argument between two restaurant workers at their shared apartment in Bellefontaine early Sunday morning escalated into a stabbing and resulted in a felonious assault arrest and the victim being treated at the scene for injuries to his hand.
Adan Cota Hernandez, 27, of 170 McKeestown Road, Apt. B, Bellefontaine, was lodged in the Logan County Jail for the felonious assault charge, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies and EMS personnel were called to the McKeestown Road apartment about 1:15 a.m. in reference to a reported stabbing and were met by fellow restaurant workers from La Palma, 2201 S. U.S. Route 68, Bellefontaine. They informed deputies that Hernandez and Mateo L. Alonso, 20, of the same address, had been in a argument that evening and that Alonso had been stabbed in the hand during the incident.
