Union Station camp offers new experiences for youths

For the nearly 50 campers participating in Union Station’s Community Summer Program this year, water activities and field trips complete with cold treats have provided excellent ways to weather the hot and humid outdoor conditions experienced throughout most of this month.
During a friendly game of volleyball Wednesday afternoon in the gym, participant Ashton Foreman said a trek to Young’s Dairy near Yellow Springs last week proved to be one of his favorite activities so far of the seven-week Monday through Friday program, which continues through July 29.
“I got to have some mint chocolate chip ice cream, which tasted really good on a hot day,” the soon-to-be Bellefontaine Intermediate fourth-grader said.
