Participants in a Bellefontaine Solidarity March supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement hold signs Sunday afternoon while walking through the area of west Chillicothe Avenue en route to Ratleff Park. Several hundred individuals participated in the event, which began at T-P Lanes, 300 E. Lake Ave., and also proceeded along the sidewalks of Main Street. At the park, the group gathered for a dinner and speakers encouraging the community to come together and working to end systemic racism. The event follows protests locally in front of the Logan County Courthouse and around the nation after the May 25 death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis.
