Logan County Deputies are receiving reports of individuals who have been victims of scams where they were asked to make payments via iTunes cards or gift cards. “If anyone is wanting payment from iTunes cards, gift cards, etc., it is a scam,” deputies said.
Man charged with telecommunications harassment
Wesley W. Bickle, 58, 3796 Harrison Drive, Bellefontaine, was charged with telecommunications harassment related to an incident Monday.
Deputies said Bickle called into the sheriff’s office regarding collecting property from an ex-girlfriend. While on the phone with deputies, the defendant reportedly became belligerent and started cussing at deputies. He also called back into the office, and was placed under arrest at his residence and lodged in the jail.
No injuries reported in C.R. 18 crash
Anita M. Browning, 50, of Huntsville, was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign related to a non-injury crash Sunday afternoon at County Road 18 and Township Road 200.
Deputies report she was operating a westbound 2015 Chevrolet Volt on T.R. 200 about 4:50 p.m. She reportedly failed to yield from the stop sign to a southbound 2008 GMC Sierra operated by Tristan L. Lenhart, 24, of Bellefontaine, striking the driver’s side of his vehicle.
Her vehicle then continued across the intersection and came to rest on Township Road 216. The Lenhart vehicle spun out and went off the east side of C.R. 18. Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene.
