Ruth joined the working world during her senior year of high school at the A. J. Miller Company. After working there for 12 years, she started her most precious job of raising her family and caring for her mother and mother-in-law. She then decided to return to the business world and was hired at Barton Oldsmobile and Cadillac. She then went to work for Patrons Mutual Insurance Company as an assistant secretary/treasurer for 14 years when she retired. During retirement, she then started caring for her loving grandchildren.
Ruth was a member of the First Christian Church, Bellefontaine, where she taught many Sunday School classes. She served as a Deacon and was later awarded deacon emeritus. The CWF was a very important group for her. So much so that she served as secretary of this group for several years.
Ruth’s faith was demonstrated through the life she lived. People were often touched by her kindness and her gentle caring nature. Even toward the end of her life on this earth she still had a kind word or an, I love you to give. She will be sorely missed by those who loved and knew her.
