Russell O. Allison, 89, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019. at Logan Acres.
He was born Oct. 23, 1929, in DeGraff, a son of Charles M. and Mabel Easton Allison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Maxine Stayrook Allison, whom he married Oct. 23, 1955; his son-in-law, Michael A. White; sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence and Woody Strickland, Bertha and Gail Curl and Esther and Robert Black; and a brother, Roger Allison. Russell retired from DAB and was veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy White; son, Dave (Deb) Allison; sister, Doris (Larry) Neff; brother, Melvin (Evelyn) Allison; sister-in-law, Barbara Allison; grandchildren, Shannon (Brett) Paulins, Michael A. (Sara) White Jr., Andrew (Shannon Butler) Allison and Christopher (Valerie Kramer) Allison; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Katie Allen) Allen and Elizabeth White; great-greatgrandchild, Emberly Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Bryan Meadows officiates a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, following visitation that begins at 10 am.
The Logan County Honor Guard performs military honors at the conclusion of the service. Burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
