Roger Lee Brown, 68, of West Liberty, passed away at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at his home. He was born in Johnson County, Ky., on June 26, 1950, to the late Herbert and Dorothy Mae Young Brown Dolph.
On April 21, 1988, Roger married the former Sheila Burchett in Bellefontaine, and she survives in West Liberty; along with his stepson, Roger Chiles of DeGraff; a special niece, Carrie Magill of Dayton; his dog Sammy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

An artist and former professional photographer, Roger had attended the Cincinnati School of Art and was a founding member of the American Society of Portrait Artists. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran who had a gift for creating things using his hands, which was further evidenced by the fact that he built his home from the ground up. In his leisure time Roger enjoyed traveling and spending time on the computer.
A celebration of life service begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Sam Burchett residence, 10154 W. State Route 47, DeGraff.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Universal Home Health & Hospice for the exceptional care that was provided to Roger and his family.
