A mayoral vacancy in the village of Quincy was filled recently following a series of procedural maneuvers to reinstall the incumbent.
A clerical error cost mayor Dan Robinson his spot on the November ballot, and with no other candidates running, the village was without a mayor.
Until a series of procedural motions Tuesday during the first regular council meeting of 2016 first appointed Mr. Robinson onto council, then voted him council president.
