Robert C. Laubis, 86, of Lakeview died May 21, 2019.
Bob, as he was known to family and friends, was born Aug. 27, 1932, to Carvin C. and Ila Laubis of Kenton.
He married Nancy Hale in 1952, and they raised two daughters, Cheryl (Kim) Davis, who survives; and Laura Laubis Prater, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by his very best friend, Joyce Snow of Lakeview; a sister Shirley(Sam) Butcher; two grandchildren, Jayme Laubis and Carly Vanhoose, great-grandson Brison Laubis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was a member of the Kenton Elks 157, Kenton Moose Lodge, Kenton AMVETS Post 1994 and Indian Lake Eagles 3615.
Bob retired from Rockwell, where he was a machinist.
He will be remembered for his lifelong love of music. He began playing bass guitar in country and western bands at the age of 18 and was the bass guitar player for The Country Expressions band for more than 40 years. His music took him on several adventures, including summers traveling with his friends on Loretta Lynn’s tour bus. He will be sorely missed by all who love him.
