Riverside’s boys basketball team used a big second quarter and strong defense to secure a 51-47 non-league victory against visiting Elgin on Friday.
The Pirates picked up their second win of the season at 2-6, while the Comets fall to 1-6.
“Tonight, we really came out ready to play,” said RHS head coach Seth Bodenmiller. “I thought that we were patient on offense and made good decisions against their pressure. We had a big second quarter, which ended up being the difference in the game.”
