Riverside’s boys basketball team put together three strong quarters after a rough opening period to down visiting Waynesfield-Goshen 52-37 on Friday in Northwest Central Conference action.
The Pirates improve their record to 7-14 overall and 4-3 in the NWCC, while the Tigers fall to 2-18, 2-5.
“We kind of got off to a shaky start, but I think that a lot of our guys just got caught up in their emotions with it being senior night,” said RHS head coach Seth Bodenmiller. “We finally settled down in the second quarter.
“In the second half, we really executed well on both ends of the floor and we were able to stretch the lead out to double digits. I couldn’t be more proud of this senior class and the effort that they have given to lead this team so far this year, but we know that our work isn’t done yet.”
