Ridgemont’s girls basketball team earned its first victory of the season Thursday with a 62-21 rout of Upper Scioto Valley in Northwest Central Conference play.
The Gophers raced to a 32-8 lead at halftime and then outscored the Rams 30-13 in the second half.
Jen Jordan had a big night for Ridgemont with a game-high 22 points. She buried seven three-pointers.
Jordan was one of four Gophers to score in double digits. Also for Ridgemont, Brooke Nelson had 14 points, Callie Cromer scored 11 points and had 15 rebounds and Hannah Shoffner had 10 points.
Ridgemont returns to action Monday at home against Cory-Rawson.
