Reta M. Cook, 81, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Chinook, Mont., on May 4, 1937, to the late Lyman and Gertrude Hall Croft.
She married Jerold Welburn Cook in Wyoming and he preceded her in death. Reta was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Kirk; sons, George H. Cook, James “Rusty” Cook and William “Billy” Cook; sisters, Delores McCabe and Laura Johnson; brothers, Gaylord Croft, Rex Madsen, Billy Madsen, John Croftand Archie Croft.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Connie) Cook and Lynn (Don) Johnson, both of North Lewisburg, Daniel Ray Cook of Texas, Darren A. Cook of Kentucky and Johanna M. Cook of Bellefontaine; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Gardipee of Shelby, Mont.; brothers, Wayne Croft of Greatfalls, Mont,. and Warren Croft of Marietta Island, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Reta was a homemaker and an avid animal lover, especially cats. She enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords. Reta loved to crochet and write letters to her pen pal. All who knew Reta will miss her.
It was Reta’s wish to be cremated and a private family service will be at a later date.
