Raymond Edward Ilse, 58, of Bellefontaine, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24, 2017, in Rockport, Texas, after a struggle with cancer.
He was born in Battle Creek, Mich., on July 23, 1959, to Arthur Ray Ilse and Ida Mae Dearwester Bozman.
Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1980 to 1986, achieving the rank of sergeant and receiving an honorable discharge. Raymond was enrolled in Colorado Technical College studying restaurant/hotel management. He enjoyed watching movies, reading and spending time with his mother and brother, Hosea, with whom he resided.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon of Sidney; and stepfather, Calvin Bozman of Bellefontaine.
Raymond is survived by his children, Misty (Arnn) Wallace and Sunni (Mike) Thomas, both of Las Vegas, Nev., and Nikole Ilse of Eureka, Calif.; his father, Arthur (Sandy) Ilse of Ruskin, Fla.; mother, Ida Mae Bozman of Bellefontaine; brothers, Micheal (Nancy) Ilse of Corpus Christi, Texas, John Ilse of Independence, Mo., and Hosea Ilse of Bellefontaine; sisters, Tina (Wesley) Harshfield of Gibsonton, Fla., and Tonya Dunn of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Madelyn, Samantha, Jaimee and Connor; stepdaughters, Angel Barker, Stacy (Billy) Fannin, Hope Barker and Jamie Daniels; and numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins. Raymond is also survived by the mother of his children, Donna Marchand.
A celebration of life service and military internment will be held at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas, at a later date.
