The Benjamin Logan Chapter of SkillsUSA recently organized the designing, signing and delivering of holiday cards for nursing home residents throughout Logan County to help brighten the holidays.
SkillsUSA members, with the help of digital design students (including middle and high school students within the program) completed designs of holiday greeting cards.
Each card displayed student designs. Some were digitally-created and printed — including designs with objects spelling out the words “Joy,” “Noel” and “Jolly.” Others cards were created by hand.
As part of their holiday festivities, SkillsUSA carefully counted and organized cards to ensure that each nursing home received a sampling of both digitally created and handmade cards, as well as a card for each resident.
When the project was completed, a total of 292 cards were created and signed by students. The holiday greetings were then delivered to Green Hills Community, Campbell Place, Ayden Healthcare of Belle Springs and Logan Acres Senior Community.
