Logan County Board of Elections officials announced Tuesday a change to one voting location in the county for the upcoming March 17 primary election in response to coronavirus concerns.
“Out of an abundance of caution concerning the coronavirus, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has ordered the relocation of polling locations in retirement living or senior care facilities.”
Currently, the polling location being relocated is Green Hills Foundation Hall, 6557 S. U.S. Highway 68, West Liberty.
The new polling location for voters in West Liberty and Liberty Township is the Logan County Board of Elections, 225 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, officials said.
“Additionally, we strongly encourage voters to take advantage of Ohio’s ample early voting opportunities,” Logan County officials said.
In-person early voting hours at the board of elections office are: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, Thursday, March 12, and Friday, March 13; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14; 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 15; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 16.
Also, the deadline to request an absentee ballot for the March 17 election is noon March 14.
Absentee ballots must be postmarked by the day before the election in order to be counted, or you can drop it off at the Logan County Board of Elections from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 17.
Voters also are urged to check the Logan County Board of Elections website, www.boe.ohio.gov/logan, for the most up-to-date information on polling location changes.
