Officers of the Washington Township Police Department report three individuals were lodged on felony charges during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
Driver Eric Durst, 57, of Sidney, was charged with felony receiving stolen property and possession of drugs. Passenger Kevin Hashman, 27, of Columbus, was charged with felony receiving stolen property and possession of drugs, and fellow passenger, Buffy Hashman, 52, also of Columbus, was charged with felony possession of drugs
About 12:55 p.m., officers conducted the traffic stop for an obstructed license plate violation.
Upon making contact with the occupants, the vehicles license plate was found to be stolen out of Columbus.
Durst and Hashman were also both found to have active warrants for their arrest.
K9 Bruno was deployed and indicated on the vehicle. A search was conducted and Suboxone and other prescription medications were located.
All three defendants were placed under arrest and were lodged in the Logan County Jail. The Russell’s Point Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s office assisted.
